Anna Maria's Italian Cuisine - On Connecticut Ave in Washington, D.C.
Closed

I was so sad to learn that Anna Maria's is closed... It was in business for over 45 years and served hotshots from Frank Sinatra to Tiger Woods. The food was absolutely delicious, the atmosphere was busy in a fantastic hoppin' kind of way, and the service was great. I'm from the west coast, and we don't get Italian food like they make on the east coast. This place was one of the greats and will be missed by many. If you never made it here, you missed out, but you have a kind of second chance. I read that there is another one that opened in Dunmore, PA.

Old Ebbitt Grill - Near the White House in Washington, DC

For dinner, plan to spend $25 per person at the very least for absolutely amazing food. If you are in town, this is one of the places you should definitely eat at. It's the kind of classy place that has been around for a long time and it's not uncommon to see politicians and their friends here, if that's the kind of thing that gives you a buzz. Plan to dress up - like I said, it's a classy place.

They have a great menu with lots of variety and flavor, the ingredients are fresh, and the bourgeoisie atmosphere is fantastic.
