Wild Tiger - Exit 8 off Hwy 14 in Vancouver, WA

I loved everything about this place. The service was great, the ambiance was somehow both soothing and crisp, and the food was delicious. I would definitely go back here next time I’m in the area. It wasn’t cheap, but I got what I paid for – A great dinning experience.

The Sultan Cafe - Near the corner of NW 18th and Quimby in Portland, OR

This place is a few blocks from my office, so I go here regularly, and I have always had a really great dinning experience. I have recommended it to a few friends and they have all really liked it. The employees are really warm, happy people and the food is delicious. I love that all the walls are windows because I love to watch the world go round as I eat. I have never been here later that about 3 p.m., but this place gets a good amount of business everyday at lunch time, which tells you something.

To be honest, The Sultan CafĂ© is Mediterranean food, but it seems a bit Americanised to me. That’s not necessarily a bad thing though. It’s still really good food and it’s great if you want to turn someone on to Mediterranean food that generally eats exclusively American/European food.

Go here and enjoy, I do!

Kokiyo Teriyaki 2 - East Side (7th ave.) in Portland, OR

I find myself craving this place fairly often. Their Chicken Katsu is delicious, and their food is reasonably priced. I also love the Sweet and Sour sauce they put on their Gyoza. Sometimes I ask for a side to pour on my rice. I will keep going back to this place.

Monkey's Subs - SW Farmington rd. (185th) in Beaverton, OR

This is one of those rare places that actually waits to slice the meat for your sandwich until you order it. Fresh deli meats make all the difference. I highly recommend this place. I got the full sandwich and ate it all, but I could have been comfortably satisfied with the half sandwich. It's a small little place, so don't go expecting any seating. The only seating I saw was two little tables outside, and it was raining so I ate in my car. Very reasonably priced and the staff was very nice.
